CU Cancer Center Research Histology Shared Resource Facility

Overview of Services

The Research Histology Shared Resource provides routine and specialized histology services for both internal and external University research clients.
Services include:

• Gross dissection and decalcification 
• Paraffin processing, embedding, sectioning and routine H&E staining
• Special stains such as Trichrome, PAS, PAP, etc.
• Immunohistochemistry including customized antibody optimization for human and animal target tissues
• Sectioning for molecular analysis (DNA/RNAse free)

Process Workflow

1. Fill out a request form (link provided below).  Fill out the antibody optimization form if you are requesting optimization of a new antibody.
2. NOTE: Orders may not be placed directly in iLab Solutions by clients.
3. Bring the samples to P18-5404 K and place in the clearly marked "Drop Off" area.  
4. Ask if you have questions about a procedure.
5. An email will be sent to the client when the order is ready to be picked up.  The pick up area is located in P18-5404 M (behind "Drop Off").
6. Billing will be completed by RHSR in iLab Solutions.
